All of the Smales Farm properties are located just off the Northern Motorway providing easy access for staff and visitors. This is further enhanced at each site by public transport networks, including the Northern Busway, with stations located close to each property (including Smales Farm Station).

Continuing the focus on expanding the Smales Farm brand and philosophy outside the footprint of the Smales Farm Technology Office Park site, Smales Farm acquired the properties at 2 and 4 Fred Thomas Drive, Takapuna, in 2011. The Fred Thomas Drive location is one of Takapuna's largest commercial office sites, measuring approximately 1.5 hectares. It is comprised of two separate three-storey office buildings with more than 250 car parks. Located on the thoroughfare between Takapuna and Milford, the Fred Thomas Drive buildings are close to a major shopping centre in Takapuna, and a short distance to a supermarket on Barry’s Point Road. Fred Thomas Drive is a major arterial route and connects directly to the Northern Motorway providing quick and easy access to the rest of Auckland.
