Free coffee for
bike commuters

08 February 2011. Ride your bike to work on any of these Wednesdays: 9 March, 23 March and 6 April – and stop in for a free coffee at Columbus Smales Farm between 7.00am and 9.00am.
The ‘Bike to Work Wednesdays’ are part of an initiative being run by Auckland Transport to encourage more people to discover the fun and freedom of riding a bike.
Free coffees are not the only incentive. Free events include a bike maintenance workshop on Thursday March 17, a beginner-friendly bike ride for adults who may be a bit wobbly or haven’t been on a bike for a while on Thursday 3 March, and a ‘Try My Bike’ wine and cheese evening that lets you test a wide variety of female-friendly bicycles.
There’s no need to register for ‘Bike to Work Wednesdays’ but registration is essential for the other free events. Just email debbie.lang@aucklandtransport.govt.nz with your name and the events you wish to attend, or call 355 3553. For a full calendar of events click here.
