Partnerships

Smales Farm Technology Office Park is a mature 4th generation park. It is well established, has technology ties with universities, industry and government, and plays an important role in the community.

Massey University and E-Centre
Smales Farm has a long-standing relationship with Massey University and is heavily involved in the tertiary institution’s Enterprise Centre (E-Centre) business incubator.

The E-Centre mentors university entrepreneurs through the crucial business start-up phase. These burgeoning companies can also graduate to be tenants in Smales Farm's Q4 building. This helps to develop an exciting culture of business growth and give tenants a unique opportunity to partner young companies.

Heidelberg Technology Park
Smales Farm also has an alliance with Heidelberg Technology Park in Germany. The agreement opens the way for Smales Farm tenants to explore commercial opportunities in European markets by using Heidelberg Technology Park as a physical base and source of information. The alliance also gives Heidelberg Technology Park tenants a reciprocal 'soft landing hub', allowing them to explore Asia Pacific markets.

North Shore City Council & Enterprise North Shore
Smales Farm has the support of the North Shore local government bodies, including the Mayor and the support of the economic development agency, Enterprise North Shore.

Government partners
Smales Farm has a relationship with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) - our national economic development agency. NZTE aims to grow New Zealand's economy by boosting the capability of businesses and facilitating their sustainable and profitable participation in overseas markets.

Education partners
Smales Farm also fosters a number of partnerships that support the many educational programmes that encourage students to enter science, technology, engineering and mathematics tertiary education and subsequent careers. Partners include New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and Microsoft New Zealand.

Business Excellence Awards
We are also one of the principal sponsors of the Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards with the Excellence in Environmental Management award.

International technology parks
Smales Farm is a member of the United States-based international organisation  Association Of University Research Parks.

International Cities, Towns & Communities Society
Smales Farm belongs to the ICTC Society , which assists cities and towns to be as socially and economically sustainable as possible. ICTC also facilitates the world’s best practices in the planning, development and management of public spaces and infrastructure.
